Hi Guys
Im new here and thinking of buying a Macbook, cant stand the thought of Vista. Would a Macbook be ok for me: I just use the internet (Firefox at the moment) I use ITunes, write a few letters with open office. I do a lot photography with digital cam Also can I ask if Macbooks have a Standby mode as I do like the fast start if just wanting to check something fast online. Thanks for any answers, sorry to be a bore Chris |

Yes, it'll be fine. If you want to use Photoshop then you might want to get 2gb RAM as it currently runs under Rosetta (the background program that gets invoked when running non-intel/universal apps). iPhoto is great anyway.
Macs have a Sleep mode, which many consider preferable to turning the machines off completely. Many users don't shut their Macs down for months at a time. Hope this helps. |
