I just put a bid in for a Ibook G3 with 640 MB of RAM and 600 mhz. Will this run tiger well? All I plan on using it for is Safari, MS Office and Adium. How well will it run those apps?

Thank you,
Robert

it will run those apps fine... certain things in tiger like dashboard and graphics-intensive stuff will be a bit slow....safari really depends on ur router and ur aiport card though.

if i were you i would just get a first gen ibook g4. it wouldn't be too much more and you would have speedier ports and connections, as well as a the ability to run OS 10.4 more smoothly.

Mac: Macbook C2D 2.0ghz, 120gb hdd, 1gb ram, black
iPod: iPod nano 2ng gen. 8gb, black

I just picked up a G3 iBook with 256 MB of ram for only $229.00 at Other World Computers. They also have some with the same config but an Airport card in it for just 30 bucks extra. check it out.
