iBook - CD Drive Problem

I have a ibook G4 and for some reason yesterday, i can't put a DVD disc into the drive, i know there is no CD in there as i used a paper clip to try and see if something was in there and there was nothing. I then put in a buisness card to see what was going on and i felt something, which seems to be part of the machine but it is blocking where i put the CD. It is really odd, i have no idea what is happening. I was wondering if anyone could help or if you think i should just take it to the apple service centre! Thanks alot!!! Any help would be awesome!
