Well,

This is the 2nd Apple machine I am working on.
It is a MacBook Pro 15" Intel Duo Core 2.33 ghz.

I am trying to install the dvd that came with it, THE ORGINALS!
However, I get the following message :

" This software cannot be installed on this machine, restart or startup disk"

Anyone have any ideas?

And how should I set up the partitions for the 80 gig Sata ?
1 or 2 or 3 partitions, and what type for each ?

Thank you in advance,
Donnie

Are you sure it's the DVD that came with the machine? How are you trying to install? You hold down the C key at bootup and boot from the disc.

Yup, I get to the select english dialouge, then it goes to the installer, and I cannot click continue. I automatically spits that error out at me inside of the installer.

Now I did notice that the discs say MacBook Pro 17" on the install dvd, and I have a macbook pro 15"

Hope that helps.

Did you buy this MacBook Pro new from Apple or a Mac reseller? Looks like they put in the box the wrong DVD...
