MacBook Pro - What's this button do?

Simple question, but I couldn't find anything about it on Google...
What's the little button on the bottom of the MacBook Pro with 5 little green LEDs next to it? I push it and all 5 LEDs light up. I assume it's some sort of diagnostic indicator or something. What exactly is it for?

Battery Charge Indicator.

5 LEDs indicating 20%charge each
