MacBook Pro - Screen Problems

Has anyone had similar problems with a 17 inch macbook pro, core 2 duo? This happened after watching a small clip from a video downloaded from itune store using itunes.

I'm not sure about cause of this problem. You can however try to restart and see whether it still appears.

after I restart, the patches disappear. This has not happened only once, but a lot of times, that the patches appear.

I would contact apple, because if you can take a screenshot of it, it must be a software issue.. not a problem with your screen

I doubt it because if the screen shot shows it, then the os knows it is there.

10x for the welcome, what i cannot understand is since similar effects are seen on different applications randomly. You may do the same operations, and nothing appears.

That's a graphics card / logic board issue. You'll need to take it to an Apple store or contact AppleCare for repairs. Best of luck!
