Hi guys!
how do i make it so that my macbook pro doesnt automatically go to sleep whenever i close my notebook? say i am downloading something and i want to just fold the screen down everytime i do this the computer goes to sleep and stops the download... ive already messed around in system pref nothing does the trick any ideas? thanks Last edited by MacNewbie; 01-20-2007 at 03:04 AM. |

I wish this rumor would go away.
There is no reason a PowerBook or MacBook Pro can't be safely run with the lid closed, either through a software hack like sleepless/insomniax or an external mouse and monitor. That was true for the iBook only. |

I used insomniax to keep my PB running while I folded with increase.. It could just be a fluke but I just had to spend $240 to replace my HDD in my PB because it fried..
