MacBook Pro - I went to a bad website, i got a popup-should i be worried?

I was lookin up something on google and (no it wasnt porn!) haha but anyway i wandered off onto one of those weird album download torrent sites, how i dont know and anyway i got a popup and i remember the last time i went to something like this on my PC i got LOADS of viruses..

since mac dont get viruses i shouldnt be worried right??

chances are slim your gonna pick up a virus on a mac over the web......i guess its possible, but very unlikely.
