Hey guys, just bought my first mac and so far I love it. However, I bought the $1999 one instead of the more expensive one. It seems most of you all on these boards have the 2.33ghz. I do like to game quite abit, so I'm thinking I would have been better with the higher end one.

Ohh well, but does it really make that much more of a difference?

It shouldn't make a huge difference. It all depends on what you plan on using the computer for. What are your needs?

I'm in college and not using it for anything major like graphic design or something. But I do like to game and was just wondering if I would have been better with the other one. Nevertheless I still love this computer.

How much ram do you have in your system. That can make the biggest difference.. if you put some more in you will notice it gets alot faster.

PowerBookG4 has it right; adding more RAM will make far more difference than adding .33GHz to your processor speed.

2GB of RAM is a better upgrade that .33Ghz. Except for HEAVY gaming, the 128MB X1600 should be fine for average gaming.

my 2.0 CD with 1.5g ram is plenty fast for my needs (intensive audio recording)....eventually ill pop it up to 2gb, but the 2.0Ghz is blazing enough for me
