Hey guys,

Owner of a one week old MBP here (15, 2.33 ghz)

I've got a fresh batch of issues/questions in a neat list form for easy answering =)

1. My trackpad was working flawlessly for days until yesterday when it started "sticking" every now and then. IE: I move my finger diagonally for a few centimeters but the cursor does not move. It will move when I reposition my finger and try again. Has anyone had this issue?

2. The iSight quality seems a bit....grainy. I have a Logitech Deluxe Webcam (60$ retail) for my HP laptop that takes crystal clear pictures. When I try to use Photo Booth on the MBP, the iSight quality is a bit grainy and disappointing. Is there any way to adjust the settings?

3. Is it just me, or does it take ridiculously long to charge the battery? After using the MBP on battery power for about 20-30 minutes, and then plugging it in, it says it needs 42 minutes to charge! Since when does it take longer to charge than the use time?

4. Where do you get to the advanced settings in Mac OS X? I'd like to tweak the settings on the ATI card, the iSight, and all sorts of things but the System Prefs seems very limited as to what you can and can't edit.

1.) Yes I've had this issue too with my MBP CD. So far I have no better answer than yours. I move my finger back and forth until it catches again.

2.) Turn on the light. I can't say I have an issue with the iSight. You should compare it to one in a store. It is always possible you have a flakey one. The iSight in my MBP CD handles dark lighting better than my external iSight on my tower.

3.) Seems normal to me for all laptops. Rechargeble batteries seem to take longer to charge in that last 20% than the first 20% of power. I try to only plug mine in when the charge is really low, or I won't be using it for some time. My unproven theory is it isn't good to charge and discharge the battery frequently when it has alot of power remaining.

4.) They are tweaked. There is nothing for you to do. For ATI card the only settings are under the Displays preference. To adjust the iSight perhaps iGlasses will work for you. It has a time limited tryout period.
