I just got a brand new MacBook and am so far loving it. I was thinking about upgrading the memory to 2 gig. Anyone know of a good place to buy online or where I should get it from? Also, does anyone have any other advice as to what I should upgrade.....Im new to mac's. Thanks

The 2GB memory upgrade is a good start.

Look around for the best deals. Almost every big player nowadays has a 1GB stick for less than $100.

I've personally had success with the PNY brand.

good luck with the new black-book

some stuff i've collected for switchers or new users:

unison - great newsreader/binary downloader if you need that sort of thing.

onyx - excellent maintenance tool, great for cache maintenance and tweaking preferences

delocalizer - will free up a couple gigs of space by removing extra language support if you don't need it (i recovered about 2.8Gb).

also, these threads are fun for anecdotal reference:
