Hi,

Just took delivery of my Powerbook, I got it BTO including a 5400rpm drive. When I look at the model number of the drive on the Hitachi website is says that the model is a 4200rpm drive. Is there anyway I can test the speed of the drive? I rang Apple care but they couldn't confirm.. The model is HITACHI IC25N080ATMR04-0.

Thanks.

This harddrive number is the 4200. You sohuld contact Apple care to review your order specificationas. If they made an error they will rectify it. Be sure you selected the 5400 option at time of order placement.
QUOTE Thanks
