Has anyone here had any experience with PATRIOT RAM in their MBP?
(2GB (2x1GB) PC2-5300 DDR2 667MHz CL5 200-Pin SO-DIMM Patriot)

ALSO If anyone has some RECENT RAM advice/pricing info, ie: where the good deals are...that woudl be great! The latest on here are kinda dated...

Thanx in advance!

First, you might wanna try to use the search feature before posting. Most of the time your question has been answered.

Anyway,

I recently ordered a 1GB stick of crucial from newegg.com and saved I believe $50.

I've heard good things about patriot, but I'm not sure if they have a lifetime guarantee. Might look into the guarantee or warranty so you're not wasting money on bad ram.

crucial is widely considered the highest quality brand of aftermarket RAM. I think Patriot is somewhere in the middle of the pack.

Welcome to the forums! :black:
This question does come up rather frequently, and there are quite a few threads dealing with it as you may or may not have seen.
I would suggest using the search feature to find those threads if you haven't seen them.
The retailers are all the same:

www.newegg.com
www.crucial.com

Their deals are constantly updating, so the best bet is to go to their sites and take a look, rather than wait for someone to post one here. You might even miss out on a good deal doing that! :black:

That being said, I am going to go ahead and close this thread.
I hope you find a good deal!
