Macbook - Ebay Memory? Is this a scam???

Ok, So in the quest for more RAM I am looking all over the place... While I bought my computer at the apple store I am not in the mood :doctor: to pay $600 for 2GB of memory. So I look other places online and of course I find good old http://www.memorystore.com that sells good old Samsung for like $368, not bad but still a little steep. THEN next thing I know I find the exact same samsung stuff for $229.

Could this be fake? Or maybee a factory second?
Is there another high quality brand of memory for macbook?

Why does it have to be a samsung one? I got my 2gb at newegg for like 150

Just about. I just got 2 GB for my PowerBook at Newegg for $160

yeah, u can use any ddr2. it doesnt even have to be 667, but i would go with 667 b/c its faster. definately check out newegg.com. way cheaper price than what u were looking at. its cheaper to order 2 1gb sticks rather than buy a pack that comes with both 1gbs. here a link to one of their cheaper sticks. cheapness doesnt mean its bad, they all work the same! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820151023
