My question is, since I've never owned a Mac before, does the Macbook come with a Mac OS X installation disc that I can just boot up in the brand new 7200 RPM hard drive and install OS X? I know that the Macbook comes with the OS already pre-installed on the default hard drive you buy, but do I need to transfer that over to the new hard drive or can I just do a clean install on it?

yea, all new macs come with install discs, otherwise how would u restore if ur system were crash(in the unlikely case that it were to). u can check out apples site which has a step by step guide on how to install the HDD but its simple enough that u could prbly figure it out on ur own. its prbly the best bet to do it immediately after getting the computer so u dont have to backup ne thing or worry about transfering files back on to the system
