So I've decided to upgraded to a new Mac and retire the good 'ol 667mhz Ti to my gf, and sell my gaming PC.. So anyways, I would like to be able to play some games on it so that I don't totally lose every style of gam I play (specifically RTS games).. I would be playing games such as halo, UT2004, Call of Duty, and Starcraft/WarcraftIII.. My question is, will the MacBook play these fine? Or should I spend the extra $1000 on the MBP? I know the obvious differences regarding graphics power, and the MBP is obviously more powerful, but like I asked here, would the MB alone be able to play these games fine? My 667 DVI Ti book can play all of those games, apart from Halo, relatively well on medium-low graphics detail. Any input is appreciated.

Those games will all run quite well on the macbook..
In UT 2004 you notice the occasional slowdown here and there at higher resolutions, but overall it's definitely good enough to run it. The MBP will obviously handle them better, and will also be able to support new and future games. |

Performance should be even better there, as Windows XP can siphon off 128MB of main RAM for the graphics card. |
