iBook - iBook G3 or G4?

I thanking of buying a used iBook for mainly school usage (Microsoft Office 2004) and maybe wi-fi usage. Do you thank I should go with the G3 model running at 900 MHz http://www.techrestore.com/xcart/pro...cat=254&page=1 or the G4 model running at 800 MHz?http://www.techrestore.com/xcart/pro...cat=254&page=1

go with the G4 800 - faster bus speed, better graphics card, Airport Extreme, and USB 2.0 ports. See here for the G4 and here for the G3 for more info.

The G4 performs better, but if you get bored with the white, it's easier to change the colour of the G3 case.
Of course, I suppose you could do it with the G4 as well, but not as efficiently.

So, as I understand the ONLY think your going to be using your iBook for is wiriting papers, and internet? Never for music...dvds...etc?

If your going to only use it for papers and possibly the internet just get a G3. However if you want to do more then go for the G4... even the 1GHz are very fast.
