I purchased 2 dimms of G.SKILL 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Notebook Memory - Retail.
When I have both of them in the Macbook, I get a problem where the beachball will start spinning, and it won't stop. It eventually freezes the computer. This happens about once a day when I'm using it. If I just run one of the dimms, the computer is fine (1 gig). If I run one of the 1 gig dimms with an apple 256 it is fine also. Both 1 gig dimms have been checked individually. I've run the Mac system test disc that came with the computer, Ive also tried Rember. None will find a problem with the ram. Any thoughts? There is no pattern for the freeze (I can't duplicate it by running certain programs). |
