I have seen a few notebooks around that have WWAN antennas on them. I have not found anything yet but i thought I'd ask here before giving up. Is there any future plans for this in the MAC's? Or is there even an accessory that apple or even a different company sells that we can plug into the Macbook Pro to use WWAN?

At the moment, your best bet is probably a Bluetooth cell phone that supports EVDO or EDGE/UMTS.

15" and 17" PowerBooks had PC Card slots, which you could use to add an EVDO or EDGE card. The MacBook Pro replaced these with ExpressCard slots, and so far nobody offers an ExpressCard wireless broadband solution.

So now that Apple has this iPhone deal with AT&T, does anybody think we might see a MBP revision with built-in WWAN. Seems like a logical step to me.

That's a very interesting idea...I just hope it isn't tied to AT&T! (Or any other carrier, for that matter.)

For what its worth, several wireless broadband ExpressCards have appeared in the year since the original post.
