Wow, neat!

www.macupgrades.co.uk may soon carry these—as they import a lot of US based stuff from Sonnet and Giga Designs.

Not so relevant for my PB, but that would definitely give a 1GHz PowerBook 12" a boot up the backside! :flower:

I'm not sure what the upgrade entails but given the 7447/7447A's are SMT, I'd assume a very fine soldering iron and a lot of dexterity... Certainly 1GHz->1.67GHz isn't a crystal/oscillator change, as I think the 1GHz 12" uses the 7447 which cannot reach the 1.67GHz mark—that would require a 7447B.

Notably they will FedEx it back for $90 (presumably an arrangement so you don't pay customs charges on your own item you bought here in the UK) leaving yo to ship it to the USA—which would cost around £40-50 for a 6-7lb package.

So does anyone know where I can get a 1ghz+ upgrade for my Tibook and wether it will ship to UK if non-UK. I have heard there is something that can go to 1.2ghz but have not yet found it.

Back with the mac!

But it's for the TiBooks with the PPC 7450 only.

Therefore I am sorted! Thank you very much! Another one of my many questions is wether there is a VGA to DVI of some sort out there or wether my graphics card is not capable of this?

Back with the mac!

The only adapter I have seen for this is a bulky external box and one that is around £250. The reason behind it is that to convert the analogue signal into a digital one again is not the simple process one would imagine it to be.
