Hi, I am still in the process of desiding on getting a MBP or not. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a Web design program that comes with the MBP or if there is a good one to purchase. Also, I have never owned a mac, so im sorry if this is a dumb question, I know very little of macs and the programs / applications for them. Thanks for anyone who can help me.

Adobe has a program called GoLive which seems to be really good, but it doesn't seem that easy to find out how to use it. It comes with the CS/CS2 suite. But dreamweaver is starting to become over rated!!! iWeb is good, actually really good, but I don't think it is exactly what you are looking for.

well, i had an unfortunate accident with my 12" PB on Friday so i instantly went and purchased the 1.83ghz 15" MBP and an additional gig of memory. I, like a lot of people here, use dreamweaver and have yet to touch iweb other than to explore for a couple mins, and dreamweaver runs nicely on this machine -- in fact, as fast or faster than on my PB.

The MacBook Pro, overall, is a solid system. Having used both a powerbook and the MBP i can say that it's a worthy predecessor of the PowerBooks. The screen is alot brighter than my PB, which is a joy but i have noticed excessive heat while charging -- nothing to cry about though. One thing i would suggest is to bump the memory up to 1.5ghz, I noticed a definate boost in the applications, esp. the office suite. I'd imagine another boost in performance [which is almost unimaginable] once cross-grades are available for my main apps.

If you haven't already purchased one, you should... You'll love it, I do.
