Hey everyone,

Just got my MacBook Pro last week and I'm so far glad that I switched from the darkside. My issue is two fold (sort of). When I am importing a music cd with itunes, at some point during the process it gets held up (as if it can't read). I admit that some of my cd's aren't in the greatest shape, but I have tried it with 8 different cds and they all get held up at some point. These cds imported fine through my old DVD drive. I tried a new cd and it worked fine. The otherside of it is that when it gets held up, iTunes will not respond when I try to stop the importing process. As a result I have to force quite. These cds are all purchased music cds. None of them are burnt. So is this drive just SuperSensitive or is is malfunctioning? Anyone heard of anything like this? Thanks for your time and advice.

Do you have "Use Error Correction" turned on? As seen here:

I try to Command+Shift+/ when I can.

How bad are CD's though you admitted that some are in the best shape, plus some drive can read them while others cant
