The short version of my problem probably is: How do I setup USB 2.0 for a 15'' PowerBook G4 867 MHz (running OS 10.3.9)?

More specifically: I bought the 5th-generation 30GB iPod (the iPod video), but the G4 only has USB 1.1 and Firewire (and firewire is not supported with the iPod video, strangely enough). So, the only option to speed up transfers seems to be getting USB 2.0, right?

What are my options/what do I need to look for? Please take into account that an answer like "get a USB 2 card" would be too general as my hardware knowledge is limited. Thanks a heap in advance for your replies.

I have this for my older PowerBooks. If you don't want to get that one or can't then you just need any PC Card Type II card.

OK, finally got round to buy something from a local computer accessories store. It is indeed a standard PCMCIA card containing two usb ports. The price was €20. Two things that you have to take into account:
i) the operating system compatibility -- this one (from Connectland) works from OS 8.6 up.
ii) you may need an external DC power supply (usb) in addition if you are going to have power-hungry peripherals hanging from the ports to not risk an over-current shutdown.
