So i just got back from a business trip abroad to find my son heartbroken. His beloved ibook of 15 months is showing no signs of life.i turned it off an then on again only to have a completely white screen in front of me.I then rebooted using my techtool delux cd (from my protection plan for my powerbook)holding down the c as was suggested by apple.Nothing changed whatsoever.Any ideas of what i may try before going to the not so distant local shop.many thanks in advance..

Have you tried the tips in the instant fixes thread?
The Notebook "Instant Fixes" Thread

Specifically try this one:
Quote:
To reset the PMU, hold down “Shift-Control-Option-Power".
Which model iBook is it?
G3 or G4?

Hmmm could indeed be a bad logic board... although these aren't as common in the G4 models as they were in the G3 white iBooks...

If the tips don't work, I'd contact your nearest apple service provider.
