Powerbook 12" Wireless DEGRADING???

I've had my PB since Nov. and have loved every minute of it. Recently I think I've been noticing a degredation in the signal strength of my wireless. I notice this on campus. Every classroom is rigged for wireless. I used to be able to pick up the campus router no problem. Now it's very difficult to pick up, and I'm getting angry because I see people with Windows laptops who have no problem connecting, even people who sit right next to me.
Is there any sort of fix for this? Is this normal? Should I buy some sort of extender???? This happens in several classrooms AND in the library. I am getting worried.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!1) Powerbook G4 12" 1.5 GHz, iWork, Ilife 06, Logic Pro, Office 2K4
2) A PC with a bunch of stuff in it.

Perhaps your antenna came loose from your airport? Power down, take out your battery, detach and reseat the antenna connector on your airport and try again.
