I'd like to use the teacher tool app on my new MacBook 10.8 - Mountain Lion. Is there any way of doing so? Or does the app only run on an iPad?I haven't got an iPad and actually I haven't got any use for one except for the teacher tool.

You'll have to check with the developer to see if they make a Mac version. Otherwise, no, you can't run an iPad application on your Mac.
