Hey Guys,

I have a quick question, hope to get some help and answers.

Does anyone know about or have experiences with the durability of the glass trackpad?

This afternoon, I was typing and i dropped something on the floor, as i reached to grab it in a hurry, my 4 fingers impacted the trackpad and the aluminium unibody on the right of the trackpad.

There was a loud audible sound and i felt that my fingernails scrapped across the trackpad. However, after which, i checked and the trackpad was working perfectly fine and no scratches/dents whatsoever.

But i am really unsure as to whether this one-time impact will cause problems to my trackpad in future.

Any comments relating to experiences with the trackpad and its durability is very much welcomed

Thanks!

Can't speak for the Air but I did not have a problem with my 06 or my current 09 MBP trackpad they seem to have the tech down pat.

If it "Ain't Broke" then it "Ain't Broke"!

BELIEVE ME...you would know IMMEDIATELY if there was a problem. The glass surface can be cracked/broken.
