Direct from the horses mouth.

How do I remove Genieo from OSX?

If you've gone about just deleting whatever bits of it you could find, you may need to reinstall it in order to use their own uninstaller and then reset your browser info.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
