    Specs:
    Imac 27" Retina 3.3GHz, 512GB Flash, 16GB memory, OS X.11.4.
Well it does not seem to happen all the time - not in 'you' or 'would'.

    Any liquid spills?
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Well likely the KB - as asked by Harry, any liquid spills? Also, are you typing on a laptop or an iMac? If the latter, do you have another KB (like a USB spare) to test which would at least localize the problem? Dave
