PowerBook - Installing new memory question

gonna get a 1gb memory from crucial.com, my PB currently has the factory 512mb on the bottom slot, will I have to remove it to put the 1gb in the bottom and the 512 on top, or can I just put the 1gb on top and don't bother removing the 512 at all?

It shouldn't matter what order the RAM sticks are in after installing the 1GB stick. I personally like the bigger stick in the first slot but that's because I'm crazy like that.
