How do I transfer photos held on my desktop in the MacBook Pro to my iPad. Both on IOS 7

Mac Specs: 2012 MBP, Black speakers, Black Benq second monitor, black(ish) iPhone 5s, Black 2012 iPad, etc.

Your MacBook Pro cannot be running iOS 7 -- it runs OS X.

The normal way to sync photos from a Mac to an iPad is to put said photos into iPhoto or Aperture and then sync them using iTunes.
