G'day and welcome to the forums.

    Any liquid spills at all?

If not then try another keyboard assuming this is a Mac Pro as stated and not a MacBook pro.
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Moved here to the correct forum as it has nothing to do with an iPhone or iPod.

Have you recently or in the past spilled anything on your keyboard?
