Hello, when I connected my Dell ST2410 monitor running at 1920 X 1080 with the macbook air lid closed, animations such as minimizing a window or opening folders in launchpad is choppy compared to the smooth animations when only using the mba screen. Is there a fix to this? what is the problem?

Thanks

I'm not sure if this will help...but did you reboot/restart the computer AFTER attaching the external monitor?
