Thread: New HD in Powerbook G3

I just recently bought a 10 GB Toshiba HD to upgrade my Powerbook from the original 2 GB. I have the drive installed, but since I'm pretty knew to Mac's, I'm not sure how to intall the OS. I tried booting to the CD by holding down the C key, as others have stated, but nothing happened- the box w/ the blinking question mark just kept blinking . Do I have to use a utility to format the drive first, or should I just be able to boot directly to the CD?

You should be able to boot from the install media. Is the media you are using is bootable?Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, It's about learning to dance in the rain!
