Is there a way to disable the built-in iSight?

I'm wondering if there is a way to disable the built-in iSight? Anyone know?

In iChat you can turn off the camera, but other than that its not actually on unless you are using it

I saw this somewhere else, but it's good enough to repeat:

Tape.

Just as trpnmonkey stated, it is not "on" unless you are using that specific feature in iChat. So there is nothing to 'disable'. Good day.

I read somewhere that the camera is built in a way (on both iMacs and MacBooks) that there is no way to use it without the green light coming on. I don't remember where I read that, but hopefully it's true and there's not a way to disable the light or something. I'm really considering buying a MacBook Pro as my first Mac, and I'll admit the thought of a camera always pointed at me is a little frightening. I guess that's just my Dale Gribble side coming out though.
