    16Gb Mac Mini 2012, 13" MBA, 15" MacBook Pro OSX 10.7, 32 GB iPhone 3GS, iPad2 64gb 3G
Depends on the servers and your download speed. Mine took about an hour.
I've always wanted to be smart, handsome and modest. But, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with two out of three . . .

I presume you mean Mountain Lion.

The answer to this depends on a few things. Primarily, it all depends on your internet connection and the load that Apple is managing right now. In other words, it could be anything from less than an hour to quite a few.

Go to the Purchases tab - you should see the progress there.

My progress also showed in the Applications window of Launcher.

FWIW on my Mac Mini I also lost any screen output for about 30 minutes during the actual install; thought for a while my system had crashed.

After it's finished downloading do you just click on it to start the install? Do you see any progress of the install?

yes or on the popup window you got when you started download. But, like I said, my screen blanked out for quite a while during the install.

I am new to using the Apple have been a long time Windows user. I bought the MacPro 13" for using it with iPad2 mostly, and am getting used to using it for other uses.
After downloading I am seeing a window that is showing the remaining time to install new OS as 34 minuets.
