I have a 2010 air w/ a broken screen.
Will a 2008 screen work as a replacement?

I don't think so because the newer Air is LED backlighted. You can check for sure by going to iFixit: The free repair manual and compare the part numbers. If you can't find anything there, go to Mac Repair - Mac Parts and Service for Apple Macbook, iPhone, iPad.
