How do we find out when the new Retina MBP will be in stores to go look at and purchase?

They're just being honest. They don't know...so they cannot give you any estimates. I'm sure you're not the first person to call them with this question.

Apple.com at this point is saying 3-4 weeks. So it will probably be at least that long for the Apple Stores.

I stopped at the Town Square Apple store here in Las Vegas last night and the guy just said to call every day since they don't know when they will be arriving. So that's what I'll do.

They had just the base models on display and I'm very impressed at the performance. I'm seriously debating if I even need anything more than the base but would really like the extra storage space and ram for the future.
