As I recently posted, I am a newbie to the MAC world. I've got a quick question. We use a lot of PowerPoint and MediaShout during our youth services to project verses, pictures, .mpegs, etc.

On my Windows laptop I could simply extend the display on to the s-video connection and have PowerPoint display the show on that extended desktop. I tried doing this last night with my PowerBook but I could not find a way to extend the display. All I could get it to do was throw the image of my regular desktop on the screen.

Thanks for any help or advice...

Did you go into System Preferences, Display and click 'Detect Displays' when the PBook was hooked up to the projector/TV via SVideo with it turned on?

Also try hitting F7, it could be that the display is simply mirroring. F7 switches between mirroring and extended desktop.
