As the subject says, my MacBook air won't switch on. I've tried all the trouble shooting methods apple has provided (Disconnecting unneeded peripherals, left shift + option + Cmd and then the power button) , however MacBook air stubbornly refuses to switch on. Also, the battery never seems to fully charge, it's always stuck on orange, no matter how long I leave it plugged in.

Can somebody please help me? Thanks.

It's time to make an appointment with your local genius bar at an Apple store and have them diagnose the problem. Could be anything from a bad power supply to a failed logic board. The MBA does not lend itself very well to DIY maintenance.

Ahhh, was hoping I wouldn't have to - but it looks like I don't have much of an option.

Thanks for the help.
