My MacBook pro randomly stopped letting me sign in, I then signed in using safe mode and it worked, I then read that if you reset the pram then it should solve the problem. Ever since I tried to reset the pram my Mac is now only showing gray on half of the screen and black on the other half.. I'm not sure what's wrong. Please help

Do you have your original install DVD? If so, boot with the DVD and use Disk Utility from the DVD to run a verify and repair on the hard drive. Let us know what it says. |

If the graphics or logic board is defective, that would be an expensive repair which would not be worth doing considering the age of your machine. |
