unable to download torrents?

i recently got my first mac, a 15" pro, and i am trying to download torrents but it wont work.
ive tried utorrent, bittorrent, and transmission and none of them work.
this is what happens when i try with utorrent

its like there is nothing in the torrent file, but there obviously is??
any help would be greatly appreciated

If you actually paid for software, you wouldn't have this problem...

ok say im downloading a torrent of something 100% legal,
then how would you fix this
