Having successfully obtained Logic Pro 7 on my iBook G4 through certain sources that I prefer not to name, I have encountered problems in starting it up. What is an XS Key, and is it something missing from my iBook?

Exactly, it's that simple. The XSkey is a hardware dongle, without which Logic simply won't start up.
This is actually the most effective way of copy protection.

So you "obtained" a peice of software... and don't even know what the software is used for?
I can understand not knowing the interface or nuances and intricate details of a complex application... but getting it before you even know what it does? A little counterproductive and silly if you ask me. Seems like a waste of time. :black:

Logic is for Audio what Final Cut is for video: The reference when it comes to editing, mixing etc.

It is, by the way, quite a complex program, and unless you have at least some knowledge about audio editing, just forget about it.
GarageBand is like an ultra light version of Logic, just to compare.
