Hi everyone,
Recently I was given a MacBook Pro (old model) for free and as I turned on the laptop, it boots only into windows XP. I am wondering how I can get the apple operating system back on the macbook. Note that this model does not have a DVD drive. In addition, the keys are not responsive and I am thinking this might be a software issue, but then again, I am not too sure. Can anyone suggest some solutions to these issues? Thank you!! |

Boot and hold down the Option key to see what is installed. Normally Windows is set up using Bootcamp on a partition. If Mac OS X appears, select and boot, go into System Preferences > Startup Disk and choose Mac OS X for the normal boot. Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer! |
