I have a MacBook Pro and I recently purchased a lexmark s505 printer. It comes with an installation disc but it is only supported on snow leopard (10.6). I can't print photo's from my macbook but the faxing and scanning apps are not recognizing the printer.It reads: "A component necessary for the operation of your printer could not be located. Please insert your printer CD and reinstall your software."
So how can I get the software to locate the printer?

Lexmark are the most difficult drivers for the Mac I have ever experienced. Never again going to venture into Lexmark waters. Howver if you look at this link, specifications and then view more specs, see the drivers are for Tiger and Leopard for PowerPC only.
