i tried Mobile Me last year and decided it wasn't worth $99 to keep it...

i did a system upgrade about a month ago (OX10 Snow Leopard) and ever since this keeps popping up on my screen multiple times a day

i cannot find Mobile Me on my MacBook anywhere

It should have prompted you to switch everything over to iCloud if this is what you are trying to do
or at least this is what happened to me also you may have to use your Apple ID (same as iTunes ID).

Can't be doing iCloud on Snow Leopard, yet, that I know of.

It's probably still trying to sync with MobileMe. You should be able to go into the MobileMe control pane, uncheck everything under sync, and sign out.
