Url Address Bar on my macPro has suddenly disappeared. I did not change any settings. I am unable to enter any URL since there is no bar to type it in.

Which browser are you using? If you're using Safari, go to View > Show Toolbar. If the toolbar is there, right click it > Customize Toolbar > drag the address bar to the tool bar.

Do you have a cat? Blame the cat.

(but seriously, command + shift + the | key is what you [or the cat] pressed to make the URL bar disappear in the first place)
