Whenever I connect my iPhone to my laptop, my sister and my mom's macbook air both are able to get iPhoto to pop up whenever they connect their iPhones to their laptops but mine isn't doing that. How can I fix this issue?

Open iPhoto then into Preferences/General and half way down there is a tab with a the statement thats says "when connecting camera" and beside that make sure iPhoto is the App showing. Now quit iPhoto and try and connect your iPhone.

HTH

Cheers
