I have a new macbook pro 13 inch, I found a half white circle appearing on the dark images, just behind the apple logo,

That looks like the LCD panel itself has cracked. I'd recommend taking it to whomever you bought it from because that shouldn't be there on a new laptop.

This can also happen if things (like books in a backpack) are stored on top of the folded laptop.

x2. I saw this exact thing on a MB that someone had in a backpack along with about 40 pounds of textbooks. It was bounced around quite a bit on a daily basis. The Genius at Apple said it was compression damage.
