I am using a 15.4" Macbook pro running OS X - 10.6.7. This is a business laptop, provided by my client.

Currently the keyboard lights seem to have been disabled. When i attempt to increase their brightness using the button that doubles as F6, I am seeing this symbol (See attached).

This feature works fine on my own Macbook pro, so I'm wondering why it doesn't in this instance.

Can anyone tell me how I can re-enable it as I tend to work on my ride home, which is often in darkness and this would be most useful!

Thanks

John
